AstroBloggery

Blogger's bright, shiny, new features include public user profiles. Not sure how I feel about that, but I've put mine up anyway, at least for the moment. One rather objectionable "feature" is the automatic giving of one's "star sign". Indeed, when you search for profiles, people are listed as "Fred Smith, 27 year-old male Aries", etc.

Blogger, listen up: I do not want to be defined or identified by reference to my "star sign"! In scientific terms, it is what is technically referred to as "complete bollocks". In spiritual terms it is at best offensive, at worst highly dangerous (how like the Father of Lies to ensnare people with something that is total codswallop from start to finish).

Plus, I'm happily married, thank you, and being described as a "31 year-old male Pisces" makes me feel like I've signed up to a dating agency ;-)

I know I could stop this by removing my D-o-B details from my profile, but why should that be necessary?
