The longer you work here, diverse it gets
The law firm I work for has a rather greater than 50% female workforce, for two main reasons. First, more women than men are now coming into the law, so the majority of younger fee-earners are female. Secondly, it is still rare to find a male secretary, and indeed our firm has yet to cross that particular rubicon.
But a colleague of mine was saying yesterday that at his last firm, in central London, they did have a male secretary. Indeed, a short, gay, Welsh, male secretary - a walking diversity policy, no less. Or at least he was, until he was sacked... for being useless. The incompetent-community clearly needs to get its act together...
