Today is the 25th anniversary of the death of Ian Curtis, lead singer of Joy Division (precursor to New Order). The BBC has a number of interesting items relating to this:

- (Not your grandfather's) Radio 2: an item about Joy Division's only hit, Love Will Tear Us Apart, including a chance to hear the song. And also to hear part of an "oddly jaunty" cover by (ye gods!) Paul Young.
- 6 Music devotes pretty much the entire day to its "Transmission" tributes (which can be heard online using the links provided).
A sad anniversary, but at least it provides an excuse/opportunity/reminder to dig out my copy of
Substance and have a listen.
