"Concordia" preview

Concordia front cover - click to go to the CPH Concordia pageFurther to my previous post on the new edition of the Book of Concord, Concordia, and my later post on other forthcoming goodies from CPH, CPH have now put a sample PDF (532Kb) on their website. It looks very attractive indeed, with helpful notes and some fascinating woodcuts.

And "Hats off!" to CPH, who have generously extended an additional "mission discount" to members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of England, which means that ELCE members should be able to pick up a copy for about a tenner (don't quote me on that, though - think some of the details re postage are still to be hammered out). Any ELCE members interested in this should speak to their pastor (or, for those churches currently without a pastor, whoever your main point of contact is with Central Office, I guess).

(Anyone else in the UK who wants a copy at that price - email me and I'll see what we can do. Unless someone from CPH slaps me down on this, I don't see why a "mission discount" shouldn't extend to non-Lutherans in this very un-Lutheran - no, let's be optimistic; pre-Lutheran ;-) - land. Bishops of Durham qualify for a free copy.)

Update: More samples now available, including examples of the colour plates. See the various links at www.cph.org/concordia.
